City Skylines is about building a city, period. There is no story line, no random events ( like in Sim City ) and there are no win conditions. There is only a blank 2 Km x 2 KM map, a highway off ramp, a very diverse tool set and the player's imagination. Players need to plan zoning, deploy infrastructure like electric, water and roads and, ultimately, create your city. each component does cost an amount of in game money and revenue is increased by attracting and taxing residents to your city. New buildings and components are unlocked by hitting certain population benchmarks.
